LouFest's stunning last-minute cancellation could have been a complete disaster, but thanks to a whole lot of hustle on the part of St. Louis' more ambitious movers and shakers, this past weekend still found plenty to celebrate. With
pop-up events appearing all across town, there was plenty of live music to be heard, food to be eaten and comedy to be enjoyed, cancelled outdoor festivals be damned.
One such event was the Sound of St. Louis Showcase, organized by Chris Hansen and the Kranzberg Arts Foundation at Grandel and the Dark Room. The event featured every one of the local acts that was slated to perform at LouFest. RFT was there with camera in tow for performances by Kevin Bowers, Tonina, Ben Reece's Unity Quartet, the Knuckles, Dracla and More. Click through to see photos from the event.
