A Mural of Jazz Legend Clark Terry Will Be Dedicated This Saturday — But You Can View It Right Now

St. Louis jazz legend Clark Terry is being honored in a big way this weekend. And when say "big," we mean it. This Saturday, April 2, The Carondelet Community Betterment Federation is dedicating a mural depicting a larger-than-life montage of Terry -- and you can get a sneak peak right here.

Various speakers, including mural artist Ray Harvey, will be part of the dedication, as well two of the musician's proteges. His widow, his family and both local and national jazz musicians have also been invited to attend.

Harvey's mural marks the seventh completed Mural on Broadway. The Murals on Broadway Public Arts Program, sponsored by the community betterment federation, ultimately aims to complete ten murals along South Broadway from Bellerive Park to the River Des Peres. So stop by this weekend for the festivities and then view the other six beautiful murals in the project. Your search won't be difficult -- we have photos and addresses right here for you.

The dedication will take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 7714 S. Broadway. For RSVP details and more information, visit carondeletliving.com.
