You know that St. Louis has a long history of beer excellence. You've been to the famed Anheuser-Busch Brewery for everything from tours to holiday lights. You've joined the rest of the country in tearing up at the Clydesdale commercial during the Super Bowl. What you may not know, however, is just how many other breweries we have here in St. Louis. Recent years have seen a flood of craft breweries set up shop in the city, and some of them have earned major props from national experts. All of them have tasting rooms or brewpubs to visit. Schlafly was the first brewery to open in the Show-Me State since Prohibition. Here we have Schlafly Tap Room, where you can typically find 16 to 18 hand-crafted beers on tap when you visit. Make sure to visit Schlafly Bottleworks as well -- the large flagship location is a  venue, restaurant, bar, bottling plant, retailer and mini-museum all in one. Photo by Robert Rohe.
