Lamar Odom has officially joined OnlyFans, becoming the first NBA player to publicly have an account on the platform. The former Lakers and Clippers forward, 46, launched his page October 27, and his girlfriend, Rachel Bradley, a Los Angeles real estate agent, opened her own account too.
Odom’s first post set the tone, kind of. “This is brand new to me, looking forward to showing a side of me most would never see!” he wrote. His bio reads like a trailer for a documentary about himself as opposed to a description of what you’ll get: “You’ve seen me on the court. You’ve seen me on TV. Now get to know the REAL me.” A subscription costs $12.99 a month, with a 75 percent discount for the first 31 days. He promoted the page on Instagram with a shirtless pool photo and a “Let’s chat” link.
But what people will really find when they subscribe? It’s not clear yet. The former NBA star is intentionally vague, telling TMZ “People hear OnlyFans and automatically think one thing, but I’m not here to tell you what you will or won’t see.” In another statement, he promised “a little bit of everything, some surprises, and maybe a few things you wouldn’t expect from me.” Bradley and Odom may film content together in the future, a source revealed. The two made their relationship public in April, when Odom posted video of the couple walking into a Lakers game at Crypto.com Arena.
It’s impossible to separate the Lamar Odom OnlyFans launch from his most famous chapter. The two-time NBA champion and former Sixth Man of the Year married Khloé Kardashian in 2009, after about 30 days together. The couple separated in 2013 and finalized their divorce in 2016. He appeared on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and in March, Netflix released “Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom,” a documentary about his career, his marriage to Kardashian, and the tragedies and hardships he’s faced.
That documentary is still stirring up the family. Kardashian, who took part in it, said on her podcast “Khloé in Wonder Land” that she spent hours on the project as a favor, wasn’t paid, and is upset to be involved. She objected to a comment in the film suggesting he married her for her family’s lifestyle. Odom later said on a June podcast that the comment “never came out of my mouth,” and suggested it came from an interview with his children or someone else.
Odom has had an interesting year even before the OnlyFans launch. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Las Vegas in January and reached a plea deal in July. In February, he completed a 30-day program at a Los Angeles recovery center, and in May he celebrated 100 days of sobriety. “There are days I don’t think I could make it,” he wrote on Instagram, adding that he’s still standing with the help of faith and the people around him. He has said he hopes to share what he’s learned with others.
Odom’s launch isn’t a surprise to anyone paying attention to the industry. More and more athletes are turning to OnlyFans, and the platform is courting them intentionally. WNBA guard Erica Wheeler became the first WNBA player to sign an official corporate partnership with the platform, which has built a sports program with roughly 285 athletes posting training and behind-the-scenes content. Former WNBA star Liz Cambage joined the platform years earlier and reportedly said she earned more from the platform than from her basketball career. Ultrarunner Camille Herron, Paralympian Catarina Guimaraes, and a string of former WWE stars have followed in their own ways.
It doesn’t seem like Odom is part of OnlyFans’ athlete partnerships. His promotion, built around being “more personal” and “more playful,” and his statement that nothing is off the table suggest a more personal page than the training-focused ones OnlyFans has signed reccently. What is clear is why he joined. A former NBA star with a famous ex-wife, a Netflix documentary, and a long public story already has an audience that’s curious about the “real” Lamar Odom. A direct-to-fan platform lets him monetize that curiosity on his own terms, with his girlfriend alongside him. Whether subscribers get the redemption story or something spicier may be the real question. For now, the first NBA star on OnlyFans is selling mystery, and the price is $12.99.
