On Tuesday, October 3, protesters used a combination of cars and people to take over I-64/40 at the Kingshighway entrance. They then marched all the way to Jefferson, peacefully exiting the highway after about 30 minutes.
The brief,

Police now say that 143 demonstrators were taken into custody, including state Representative Bruce Franks (D-St. Louis), the Rev. Starsky Wilson and journalist Jordan Chariton of the Young Turks. It was the highest arrest total since protests first broke out in St. Louis three weeks ago.
Kelly Glueck was there to capture the jubilation on the highway -- and the deflation that followed.
