Cleveland-Heath is a favorite among both Metro East residents and city dwellers, and for good reason -- it's arguably the best restaurant in the St. Louis area. Sure, the menu includes a number not-so-standard items like seared barramundi and crispy seared duck breast, but you shouldn't overlook some of the more traditional options, either. Here, you can get your chicken wings crispy, sweet and spicy or with salt and pepper -- but no matter what you choose, they're sure to be tasty.

The name implies that beer is front and center at Charleville Brewing Co., but the food really shouldn't be missed -- just check out our review if you need more convincing. Charleville's beer-brined chicken wings aren't coated in just any sauce -- this sweet and spicy Asian glaze, in the words of food critic Cheryl Baehr, "is like the best parts of the Korean hot paste gochujang and a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce." If you're more of a traditionalist, classic buffalo sauce is also an option.

It's true: There's a winery right in the middle of Chesterfield (the grapes are shipped in to finish aging, not actually grown on-site, but still). But in the midst of all the fanciness that comes with a winery and its menu, there are wings you just have to try. One order will get you half a pound of triple dry-rubbed smoked wings, and they're so good.

Family-owned and operated, Gobble Stop Smokehouse started with an incredible recipe for turkey tips in 2009.
